"Surprisingly Smooth Setup"
The wave starts made everything run smoothly, honestly. I guess I have to blame whoever runs this for actually keeping things organized and making the whole experience easier than I expected

"Fun course with a couple tight spots"
I ran it this year and had a good time. The course was easy to follow, and the turns were marked well enough that I never felt confused. I liked that it went through some nicer parts of the city too, so it didn’t feel like you were just staring at the same street forever. Weirdly, I still remember passing a guy standing outside in slippers holding a giant mug of coffee like he was judging all of us. The only downside was that a few sections got kind of narrow and crowded, especially near the beginning. Still, it was a solid route overall and I’d definitely run it again

"Helpful weather updates for race day"
I ran the Monumental Marathon this year, and the weather updates were useful. They sent info ahead of race day about the temps and what to expect, which made it a lot easier to figure out what to pack and wear. On race morning, the volunteers seemed prepared, with water and medical help available, and I appreciated the reminders about dressing smart for the chilly start. I’m giving 4 stars because a few updates felt like they came a little late, but overall they did a solid job handling the weather side of things. I’d definitely use their info again for another race...

"I was expecting the usual pre-race chaos…"
I was expecting the usual pre-race chaos, but getting to the start line ended up being a lot smoother than I thought. I followed the signs in, dropped my gear without much of a wait, and every time I looked even slightly unsure, a volunteer was there pointing people in the right direction. The bathroom lines looked a little intimidating at first, but they actually kept moving. By the time I made it into my corral, I wasn’t rushed or stressed, which felt like a small miracle compared to some other races I’ve done

"Quick and Secure Checkout"
I was kind of in a hurry when I checked out, but everything went smoothly. The checkout felt secure, and there weren’t any weird popups or issues slowing me down.
"I got my packet fast and the…"
I got my packet fast and the volunteers were really nice, the line looked like it might take a while at first but it actually moved way quicker than I expected so overall it was a smooth experience...

"Nice medal, cheap shirt"
The medal was actually nice, so I’ll give them credit for that. But the shirt felt kind of cheap, which was disappointing. Whoever runs this really should put a little more thought into the quality of the merch
"Quick help when I needed it"
I started feeling dizzy and went over to the medical tent, and they were so calm and quick about everything. It really made me feel taken care of in the moment. Big “thank you” to the team for helping me out

"Clear Course Signs Made Race Day Easy"
I ran the race and was relieved by how clear the course signs were. I never felt lost, even around the turns where things can usually get confusing. The volunteers were helpful too, but I don’t always like relying on staff or customer service to sort things out because that can be hit or miss. Thankfully, the signage was so good that the whole thing felt stress free.

"Solid Marathon, Expo Was Just Okay!!"
The marathon itself felt really well organized, which I appreciated!! Packet pickup was super easy too, so that was definitely a plus. The expo, though, was a little underwhelming for me. There weren’t many vendors, and it felt cramped when I went. I guess I just expected a bit more going into it. Not a bad experience overall, just kind of average for me!!

"I found the hydration and nutrition…"
I found the hydration and nutrition tips useful for getting ready for my long runs. I don’t have much patience for advice that overcomplicates everything, so I liked that it kept things simple and explained what to drink and eat without turning it into a whole science lesson. A few sections could’ve used a bit more detail, but overall it helped me plan better. I’d give it 4 stars.

"The race day instructions were clear and…"
The race day instructions were clear and gave me what I needed for parking, start times, and bag check. I did have to read through it twice since there was a lot packed in, but overall it made the morning way less stressful. Compared to some other races I’ve done where details are scattered or missing, this was much easier to follow. Good job overall.

"Decent Experience, But I’m Not Totally Sold"
The site worked fine and I didn’t run into any real issues, so I’ll give it credit for that. Still, the prices felt a little high for what you actually get. It wasn’t bad by any means, but I guess I was expecting a bit more value for the money

"Good Race, Finish Area Could Be Better"
I ran the Monumental Marathon and overall had a really good day. The course and race experience were solid, and I was definitely happy to finish. That said, the post-race refreshments were just okay in my opinion. I was really looking forward to grabbing water and something to eat after all those miles, but the lines moved slowly and it seemed like a few items ran out fast. There were snacks and drinks available, which I definitely appreciated, but I expected things to be a little more organized at the finish. I’d still run this race again, but I do think the food and drink setup afterward could use some improvement.

"A Bit Too Spread Out"
I noticed there were some spots with water, which was helpful, but the gaps between them felt way too long. You kind of start expecting another one sooner, and then it just feels like you’re waiting forever.

"Ran the Monumental Marathon the crowd support was…"
Ran the Monumental Marathon the crowd support was really solid. There were tons of people out cheering, funny signs, and music popping up in different spots, which helped a lot when I was getting tired near the end. There’s just something about it when you hear people yelling your name or cheering you on that gives you a little boost. A few stretches were quiet, but overall the energy kept me going. Definitely a good experience, 4 stars from me

"The emails were clear and arrived right on…"
The emails were clear and arrived right on time, which I really appreciated. I knew exactly where to go and what to bring, so there wasn’t much stress leading up to the marathon. That said, they felt a little generic and could’ve included a few more helpful details, but overall they did the job.

The course was mostly flat, which definitely helped, but there were a couple spots that felt tougher than I expected for some reason. That part kind of caught me off guard, if you know what I mean. Overall though, it was an okay race.

"Good day, but it still took some effort"
I went to cheer on my sister and overall had a really good time. It was easy to get around, and the spectator areas were simple enough to find, which helped a lot. There was also enough info online that we didn’t feel totally lost. That said, it still took some effort to figure out where to go, deal with the crowds, and walk around to get close to the course. The streets were busy, but the volunteers were helpful and the signs made things a lot clearer. Great day overall, just not exactly effortless.

I signed up in what felt like the blink of an eye, there was zero drama. No glitches, no confusing steps, no sudden chaos, just a quick, painless process that worked exactly like it should.
